Why have you reserved an amount on my bank account? There is an amount reserved on my bank account even though I have finished charging? When will the reservation be deleted? When will you delete the reservation?
Like many other charging companies, we also reserve an amount on your bank account, every time you charge on the public network. The reservation is released as soon as the charging session is completed.
On all chargers, normal 11/22kW chargers (AC charging) and fast/hyper chargers (DC charging), 200/500,-DKK (25/50 euro) is reserved on your account to ensure there is enough money in your account to complete the charge. 💰
This is a standard for many charging companies, and generally for many other businesses as well. The amount is not a direct debit to your account, and you will notice that this reservation disappears automatically after a while. However, in some cases it may take longer for the reservation to disappear from your account.
MobilePay reservations 📱
MobilePay reservations can remain visible for up to 30 days. They disappear on their own, so you don't have to actively do anything to make the booking disappear.
MasterCard reservations 💳
We experience from our customers, that the reservation on a MasterCard also appears on the account for a longer period of time. This is because the money is not withdrawn immediately when you make a purchase with your MasterCard. Therefore, it is necessary for a card issuer to reserve the purchase amount to ensure that there is enough money on the card when the amount is debited. In our experience, even though the purchase amount has been charged, the reservation still appears on the account. However, it disappears by itself, so you don't have to do anything actively to make the reservation disappear.
We complete all transactions as soon as the charging session is completed. Therefore, there is nothing we can do from our side, to speed up the process of getting the reservation removed from your account. If you want the reservation deleted, please contact your bank. However, this is not necessary as the reservation will disappear automatically after some time (different from one bank to another).
