What can I be charged for that is outside the standard installation? Can I cancel my purchase if the additional costs are too high?
A standard installation is already included in the price when you buy a charge solution from one of our partners. However, by agreement with the installer, you can have the box installed exactly to suit your needs. This way, we cover all kinds of charger installations.
What is within a standard installation?
- Installation of a charger ensures that charging your electric car or plug-in hybrid is as safe as possible. At the same time, the installation fulfils the requirements of the car manufacturer's warranty.
- Supply and installation and circuit breaker for either 1- or 3-phase connection including N, applicable for both 16, 20 or 32 Amps and HPFI residual current circuit breaker, either as combined or separate units, in an existing switchboard. The residual current circuit breaker is type A.
- From the existing switchboard, the installer runs 5 g 6 mm2 installation cable up to 15 metres along the existing floor or wall, looped, clipped or in appropriately sized white plastic conduit. The cable is installed in the charger. For any routing, you will be invoiced per meter.
- The electrician tests that the charger is working and ensures that all connections are connected correctly and in accordance with applicable legislation.
What is typically outside of a standard installation?
There may be circumstances or requests that require an installation that goes beyond the standard installation. This may include excavation work, extra earth spikes, longer installation cable or an extension of the relay (if you want a 32A charge solution that provides up to 22kW). Our installation partners will always discuss the scope and price of the job with you before the installation begins. 🤝
You can always cancel your order if it turns out that the scope of the installation is too expensive or too difficult. Reach out, if you wish to cancel your order.
