With scheduled charging, you can choose when your charger should charge your car, typically at times when electricity is cheaper, such as at night. This can both reduce your costs and contribute to more sustainable energy consumption.
Why use scheduled charging?
If you often charge your electric vehicle overnight, scheduled charging can be beneficial:
Electricity is cheaper outside peak hours
A larger share of energy comes from renewable sources (e.g. wind power)
It’s good for the environment while also benefiting your personal finances
How to set up scheduled charging
Follow these steps in the app:
Tap the Home-icon at the bottom of the app.
Scroll down to Scheduled charging.
Enable the feature.
Tap Edit.
Select the time period during which the charger should supply power.
How does it work?
When scheduled charging is enabled, the charger will not supply power immediately when the car is connected. Instead, it will wait until the selected time window before delivering power to the vehicle.
Important:
The schedule must be set before connecting the car. If the car is already connected, the settings will only apply the next time the car is plugged in.
Be aware of the “Ask for authentication” feature
If you have the “Ask for authentication” feature enabled, you must still start the charging session via the app or by scanning your charge key when the car is connected.
The charger will then wait and start charging within the selected time window.
