The physical charge key is equipped with an RFID chip. It acts as a regular authorisation card to start charging on a charger. They go by many names, so they are also known as charging chips and charging cards.
You may experience problems with your charge key when you try to use it on your private charger or on a public charge point. In this case, make sure that you have added the charge key in your Spirii Go app.
NOTE! This does not need to be done if your charge key is linked to a company car agreement. Go to the point further down in this guide under the 3 images of the app.
- Add your new Spirii key in Spirii Go
Follow these steps to add and activate your Spirii tag to the app and get the easiest payment solution for the consumption on the tag:
- Tap the profile icon in the bottom right corner of the app.
- Open Payment settings.
- Tap Add charge key.
- Enter the ID number on the charge key. Please note that you must always enter DK in the first field, even if there is no DK in front of the ID number on the key. Tap Add charge key (you will find the key ID number on the back of your charge key).
- If you haven't already registered a payment method, register it under Add payment method -> Credit card.
- Tap Activate.
- Your key is now registered in Spirii Go and can be used on your private charging station or on the public charging network.
If you have created the charge key in your Spirii Go app, or if it is a charge key you use in connection with your company car agreement, there may be other things that affect the function of the key.
- If the key is in a key bundle, other keys, car keys, RFID cards, etc. can affect the RFID chip in your charge key. This can cause it to not work on the chargers (usually indicated by the charger lighting up red or flashing red). If this is the case, try removing the key from the keyring to make sure there are no other objects interfering with the chip.
